A person's a person no matter how small!

If you don't recognize that quote, it's from Dr. Seuss' "Horton Hears a Who". We've decided that's the "theme" we are going with for Baby Boy. If you haven't read the book I would highly recommend it. It's a great message.

The bedroom was already painted with nice colors. The colors don't exactly "match" the theme, but they don't look bad either, so we left what was there. Nice shades of light green, tan and light blue. One wall is tan with dots on it. The other three are solid green.

To include the theme, we got the crazy idea of hand painting Horton on the main solid wall. We will also put the quote mentioned on one wall. This weekend I brought home the big projector from work. We found a picture of Horton and hooked up the laptop to the projector. A painting we went!

Little did we know just how difficult this would be with our very textured walls! A straight smooth line was impossible! Tanner and I worked on this for a few hours at night and during nap and finished yesterday. We are proud of how it turned out:
